Have smoothies, will travel. Maui Wowi motored up to scenic Lewiston, Maine, for Bates College’s welcome-back luau, which went into the wee hours of the morning. For colleges wondering if we do jobs at night, or early in the morning, the answer is yes. We do many kinds of late night events. Among the ones we’ve served smoothies or coffee/espresso/hot cocoa for are: luaus like this one (til 2am), Breakfast at Midnight, Coffee House, Open Mic Night, and of course dance parties. So no matter how late your event runs, we’re up for it.

Doing an event at the Fashion Institute of Technology is always a blast – the students love Maui Wowi smoothies, but more than that, they are an interesting, enthusiastic and above all, well dressed crowd. This is Welcome Week at FIT and last night featured a Bingo game with a luau theme. We set up our smoothie station in the outdoor breezeway. There was no breeze to be had on a humid New York summer night, but we blended away for two hours and made 500 or so pina colada, mango orange banana and black raspberry banana smoothies. Looking forward to our next event with FIT.

Planning your campus events for the coming academic year? Luau and island-themed events are probably the most popular theme for colleges — and with good reason:

We can serve 300 an hour with two servers, so we can handle any size crowd. Choose from 10 tropical fruit flavors, plus frozen Cappuccino.
